15 Jun Ways to Self Care and Staycation in Bowling Green
Thank you for your continued support and love! This May, we celebrated our 4th anniversary, and we are so happy to have the opportunity to be open again to serve our local community. Now—more than ever—we could all use some more methods to relax, de-stress and begin some self-care routines to take care of our bodies and minds.
One of the best ways you can take care of yourself is through yoga therapy. While yoga is an excellent way to exercise your physical body, it can also help decrease anxiety, improve sleep and balance emotions and feelings of instability. The International Association of Yoga Therapists defines yoga therapy as the “professional application of the principles and practices of yoga to promote health and well-being within a therapeutic relationship that includes personalized assessment, goal setting, lifestyle management, and yoga practices for individuals or small groups.” All of this and more is available at Be Happy. No experience is expected or required—just come as you are and see all that yoga can do for you.
Please know we have a variety of classes for all levels, both online to meet virtually or in person in our studio. Private yoga classes are also available through Be Happy’s owner and Certified Yoga Therapist, Susan Polk. The health and safety of our community remain our top priority, so we have enhanced our already thorough processes and procedures. Space is limited in each yoga class to allow for social distancing, so pre-registration is required to reserve your space.
Another way you can unwind this summer is visiting Be Happy’s salt cave, full of six tons of Himalayan Salt to help you unwind and breathe better. During a salt cave session you can expect to sit back and enjoy a calming environment full of purifying salt particles that have been known to reduce anxiety and depression and improve sleep . You can even take the salt cave home with you with homemade salt scrubs or bath salts, or an authentic Himalayan Salt lamp available for sale at Be Happy.
Iron out your aches and pains with a massage appointment this month. Be Happy is excited to welcome a new full-time licensed massage therapist, Latasia Horton, to the team. Deep tissue, Swedish, hot salt stone or prenatal massage treatments are all available. This month, when you book your massage appointment, you also receive a free Salt Cave session (a $25 value). Thai Yoga Therapy is also available from our Registered Yoga Teachers—Chie Tanaka, Casey Hurt or Susan Polk.
Enjoy our little slice of vacation – every day – right here in Bowling Green !
