SALT CAVE

HIMALAYAN SALT CAVE

Be Happy Yoga & Salt Cave is a man-made cave built with over 6 tons of Himalayan Salt. It is modeled after the European Caves that have been in existence for hundreds of years. The unusual healing properties of Himalayan Salt were discovered in Poland when they found that the salt miners were in better health than the general population.

HALOTHERAPY

Our one-of-a-kind custom built salt cave may help alleviate symptoms of asthma, allergies, respiratory issues, anxiety, depression and many other ailments. We also offer special session options for yoga, meditation and therapeutic massage IN the salt cave. The air in the cave is treated by a specialized halogenerator, which infuses the air with microparticles of pharmaceutical grade salt.

COLOR THERAPY

In addition to Himalayan Salt, Be Happy Yoga & Salt Cave also utilizes color therapy during the salt session. The fiber optic lighting subtly changes color and assists in the calming and relaxation process while in the cave.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

what is salt therapy?

Salt therapy (also known as Halotherapy) is becoming more widely recognized in the U.S. as a natural, drug-free supplement or alternative to common medical treatments. Simply put, halotherapy emulates the conditions inside a natural salt cave by infusing the air with tiny particles of pharmaceutical-grade salt. These particles are not only safe to breathe but also have been shown to alleviate symptoms of various ailments. The addition of Himalayan crystal salts on the walls and floor of the cave further enhances the experience and helps to create a calm, relaxing environment.

what are the benefits of using the salt cave?

A session helps to relax you, relieve you of stress, assist in clearing up sinus issues, allergies and respiratory issues, and helps improve skin conditions, psoriasis, acne, and other conditions. It helps lower blood pressure, improve digestion, and creates a relaxed and calm state for the participant. It is calming for both children and adults.

What should I wear to the Salt Cave?

Comfortable, casual clothing is fine or come exactly as you are! Please note that shoes are not permitted in the salt cave; we provide clean fuzzy socks. Additionally, we ask visitors to refrain from wearing perfumes or fragrances as a courtesy to other visitors who may have an allergy or sensitivity. In a salt cave session, clients are laying in a zero-gravity chair breathing in micro-particles of salt, no special attire is required.

What is the temperature in the Salt Cave?

The cave is kept at a comfortable temperature of 68-70 degrees Fahrenheit. For visitors who find it cool, light blankets are provided.

Is it dark inside the cave?

Using Himalayan salt lamps and adjustable overhead lighting, we maintain a soft level of light inside the cave to create a calm, relaxing atmosphere.

Is it hot in the salt cave?

No, it is not hot. The temperature and the humidity are carefully controlled to create a cave-like atmosphere and provide the most comfortable setting for each guest.

How do I reserve a private session?

The cave is always available to rent for private group sessions, yoga classes, work outings, book club groups, business meetings, children’s gatherings and other uses. $175
If the client prefers to have the cave completely to themselves, we offer individual private sessions:
   1 person $50
   2 people $100
   3 people $150
   4-11 $200

is the salt cave safe for pregnant women?

Salt therapy is perfectly safe for women at any stage of pregnancy. Halotherapy is a great natural alternative to over-the-counter allergy medications. Because pregnancy can affect women in different ways, you’re invited to consult with your doctor if you have specific questions or concerns, but generally speaking, a visit to the cave is as safe as breathing the salt air by the beach.

can I be in the salt cave too much?

The salt is pure and anti-bacterial anti-fungal & anti-viral. It is difficult to overstay your welcome in the salt cave – some of our clients visit daily!

am I practicing yoga in the salt cave?

A regular salt cave session consists of reclining in a zero-gravity chair. Yoga in the Salt Cave is offered by appointment (pick your time) or check our yoga schedule for additional pop up Yoga in the Salt Cave classes!

what are the age requirements for the salt cave?
